No issues on my end in the US
I’m in the US too and I’m facing these issues. Which servers do you use?
Southeast

What do you measure performance by? A quick review shows a major drop-off in the Southeast US server count.
Which servers do you often connect to? Trying different ones might help if there’s a server problem.

There have been instances where Proton has shared the IP addresses of ProtonMail users with law enforcement.
I’m unsure how this relates to the VPN though; I’m confused about how the account you create for the VPN links back to your usage?
Am I the only one having these issues, or are others facing problems too?
I have no troubles whatsoever. Mullvad VPN is solid with high quality and works perfectly with YouTube.
Captchas aren’t a problem with Mullvad VPN. Google and other sites just dislike people using VPNs, so they try to make things harder for them. Google doesn’t care what VPN you use; they block all of them based on lists they have.
Keep in mind that Google and similar sites rely on tracking people to make money. Their spying becomes less effective when people use VPNs, so they do what they can to frustrate users.
Personally, I experience very few captchas with Mullvad VPN, so it doesn’t bother me.
You might find that turning off your phone for a few minutes and restarting it helps your connection issues. The same goes for your laptop and other devices.
Looks like you’re the only one experiencing this.
That must be frustrating.
Everything is fine here in Ireland.
I have no problems at all.
I get an occasional captcha, but other than that, I’m good (in the U.S.).
Mullvad is still way better than PIA was for me a couple of years ago when I switched. The only issue I have with Mullvad is that it stops my scanner from connecting to my computer even though I have local area network sharing turned on.
I was a fan of Mullvad; the app was fantastic with its split-tunneling feature. But after they removed port forwarding, I had to leave. It’s a real shame.
Now I am using AirVPN, which is generally good, but I only get 10mb/s download speed and no split tunneling as of now (although they’re working on that). It’s also very cheap if you buy during sales.
I’m having the same problems as you; random connection drops. I don’t have DAITA turned on like others mentioned. I’ve also turned off obfuscation because it slows my internet speed way down.
In the Netherlands, I’m dealing with huge performance issues. Bad speed and ping, and I need to swap between WireGuard servers a lot. A bunch are down for days now and I notice more problems during busy hours.
I’m dealing with this too, lots of captchas and issues connecting on mobile, I need to try multiple times.
I’ve been having several issues lately. Just like others here, I can’t hardly watch Twitch streamers or YouTube videos anymore.
For me, sometimes it takes longer to connect with WireGuard, but turning on obfuscation helps, though it does reduce speed.
No issues here, I’m in Sweden.
I’m always connected using WireGuard on my pfSense box and maybe had one disconnect in the last three months.
I have all sorts of issues.
You’re facing a timing attack, u/Appropriate_Car_5599.
My ISP blocks using any Mullvad server unless I use a SOCKS5 proxy.
