VPNs with Chinese Servers

Anyone know any good VPNs that work outside of China for accessing Chinese websites and apps?

Transocks is free for mobile.

Astrill is the only VPN I’ve found with a working Chinese IP address. Others claim to have Chinese servers but don’t actually provide mainland China IPs. It’s not cheap, but you can get good deals around Black Friday. I’ve been using it for more than 10 years.

Shadowrocket isn’t exactly a VPN. It connects to shadowsocks servers.

Maybe they’re looking for a proxy provider, not just an app.

Astrill has worked well for me both in and out of China for the past 6+ years, even during tough times like the COVID lockdowns.

But Astrill doesn’t have Chinese servers. When I’m outside of China, there are things I need access to that only work with Chinese servers.

They do have a single China server that works on Stealth mode. Not the best option, but it’s there.

There’s actually a full list of Chinese servers, funny how I got so many downvotes for saying this. Maybe people think I’m promoting Astrill or something.

I checked, and mine only shows Hong Kong and Taiwan, nothing in mainland China. Where are you seeing these servers?

Where exactly are you looking? I’m using it right now, and it’s working fine. It’s not on their website for obvious reasons.

Anyone know of any free VPS options based in China?

I’m using Hotspot Shield and AdGuard. I also have an Alibaba ECS running RouterOS just for WireGuard.

Why would you use a VPN just to get spied on even more? You lose privacy with them.
