I use NordaVPN with Nordalynx on my GL.inet router, and it appears to be censoring a lot of stuff on Netflix, including Lost, Office, and a number of cartoons. Is it possible that it is due to the server I am using? (It’s always the same as the hardcover on the router).
Yeah, Netflix has really stepped up their VPN detection game, even with Nord. It’s likely that the specific server you’re using has been flagged. Try switching to another UK server, or better yet, test specialized streaming servers if Nord offers any for Netflix.
That’s the downside of using a router VPN setup—you’re locked into one server unless you manually change it. Maybe try disabling VPN on your router temporarily and just using the Nord app directly on your device for Netflix? That way, you can switch servers more easily.
NordLynx is super fast, but Netflix seems to be more likely to block it compared to OpenVPN. Give the OpenVPN protocol a try. It might be a bit slower, but it can be more reliable for bypassing streaming blocks.
If Lost, The Office, and cartoons are missing, it sounds like you’re stuck in a different Netflix library. Check if the IP address from your VPN is really being assigned to the UK. Sometimes a server could default to a different region, and that messes with Netflix.
You can check which Netflix region you’re accessing by going to the website uNoGS. It’ll show you where the content is available. If it says you’re connected to the UK, but content is still missing, it’s a sign the VPN server is flagged.
