Hi! Before I begin expressing my situation, I’d want to thank you for what you’re doing. Your VPN is incredible and works well with high-speed connections. However, I have recently encountered challenges that I am unable to overcome. Is everything alright with the Russian users? I couldn’t use the Swedish server today, and it also wasn’t operating a week ago. Last week, I assumed it was a maintenance issue because I hadn’t had VPN for several hours. Could you please supply any information? Thanks!
All IVPN servers are online: IVPN Server Status.
To bypass heavy network restrictions, you can try enabling obfuscation in the IVPN app for Windows, macOS, and Linux (or iOS on WiFi): Troubleshooting IVPN.
Is there a way to enable this feature on a WiFi router? I downloaded your config file and set it up on my Keenetic as a new SSID. It’s useful for my home internet because I can’t download the IVPN app on iOS (it’s not available in the Russian or Turkish app stores).
As far as I know, this isn’t possible because obfuscation relies on the Vmess protocol, and IVPN doesn’t support connections via this protocol outside of their software. Even if you install Vmess on your router, it likely won’t work. But it’s worth checking if IVPN has any guides—there might be an option.
All my Russian ISPs are blocking OpenVPN and WireGuard now. I think yours are too. There are no issues on IVPN’s side (except for the lack of obfuscation on Android—please add it!).
You can try setting the protocol to OpenVPN and using port 443. Sometimes that helps.
No guides are available for this yet, but we’re investigating. For now, the IVPN app for Windows, macOS, and Linux (plus iOS on WiFi) is the only way to use V2Ray/VMess.
