Yes, isn’t that the whole idea?

Well, it is a crime, but they don’t go after everyone between 13 and 35. Everyone I know is pirating something—be it young people watching anime or adults downloading games and movies. They wouldn’t dare pursue a tax-paying citizen when they can’t even deal with pickpockets in downtown São Paulo.

Same in my country.

But not many know much about my country.

What country are you from?

Is there any country where people really get arrested for pirating?

Literally anything outside the US is out of their control.

Exactly, that’s the cool thing about being in Europe. Unless you are German, haha.

@Tyler
If you’re German, you’re in trouble.

Cries in German

@Tyler
What do you mean? The FBI works overseas, even in Europe :rofl:

Nope, me and my cousin are uploading terabytes every month via torrent in Europe, so the FBI can’t and won’t do anything to me because piracy isn’t really a crime here.

@Leslie
Same in the Bahamas, and we are closer to them than Germany.

@Leslie
Sorry, I wasn’t talking about piracy or normal crime, I meant serious international crimes like terrorism. In those cases, the FBI and Interpol would collaborate.

They collaborate with local authorities. It still isn’t their jurisdiction.

If the FBI wants to silence someone, they will, no matter where they are. What are they gonna do? America has nukes and aircraft carriers.

@Toni
The FBI isn’t going after low-level pirates. Don’t kid yourself. Also, the CIA handles overseas issues, not the FBI, lmao.

@Toni
The US economy relies on global trade. If they started doing things like that, they’d face sanctions and the economy would suffer. The US doesn’t just magically generate money. It relies on the global market.

And also, many countries have nuclear weapons, yeah? The UK, France, India, China—lots of countries are armed.

No one in Africa cares about pirates, who would the FBI ever capture from there?
