Hello, despite the death switch is available on Android 8, it is not available on Fire TV. I tried downloading the.apk from Github, but there was still no choice. I’d prefer to switch to a premium Proton account, but this is a deal-breaker; has anyone discovered a workaround?

It’s frustrating that Fire TV lacks features like the kill switch. Using a third-party app like OpenVPN or trying other VPNs that support Fire TV might be a workaround. Hopefully, ProtonVPN adds this feature soon!

Thanks, everyone. I’ve used ExpressVPN for years, but it’s not as good anymore. I was thinking about switching to Proton, but I guess I’ll wait until they add the feature.
Ugh, FireTV can be so picky! Did you check if there’s a manual workaround in ProtonVPN’s settings? Sometimes they hide these things!
Sounds like FireTV is giving you the cold shoulder! Have you tried using a router-level VPN setup? That way, you won’t need the kill switch on FireTV directly!
