Can I buy a product that isn't available in my country using a VPN?

Next week is my cousin’s wedding. I considered getting her fiancé a poster of his all-time favourite anime character as a present. I discovered the greatest poster while browsing the Displate website, which produces metallic posters. Regretfully, licensing constraints prevent the poster from being sold in the United States. I want to purchase the poster and have it mailed to the US; is it possible with a VPN?

If they do not deliver to your location, a VPN will not magically change it.

Yep, doesn’t matter where the buyer is, what matters is whether they deliver to the destination country

One option is to employ a package forwarding service. Give the service’s address to the retailer, and they will transmit it to you for a charge. This is something that many businesses provide; I’m not endorsing any products.

To supplement my previous reply. The service you’re looking for is package forwarding in the nation where you’re purchasing it.

Oh, dude, use the VPN and go for it! Nothing like a little internet subterfuge to spice up a wedding gift. But if you get caught, remember to say, “It was for love!” Courts are more lenient if it sounds romantic, right?

But seriously, check if Displate has a customer service chat. Sometimes they can offer workarounds if you explain your sob story. Just lean into it. Talk about how this poster is the key to eternal marital happiness or something. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

I have never thought of it that way, but lemme know when you find sumn

You cannot expect to be able to buy the item if it isn’t accessible for that nation.
