Where Do I Manually Send Log Files?

Yesterday I had no problems whatsoever. Today, I can’t keep a connection no matter what server I try. (Different cities). I ran diagnostics and it said I would have to send the log file manually. At one point, Nord itself started trying different servers all over the U.S. and then said it couldn’t connect. Nowo it’s saying it’s getting an OpenVPN error: Verification Failed: ‘Auth’. I"m clueless.

Where can I sent my log files?

Did you try sending it through their desktop app? In the Settings > Help section, you should see an option to send logs automatically. I know you said it’s asking you to do it manually, but maybe a reinstall of the app will re-enable that feature.

Before you send the logs, double-check your credentials! Sometimes that “Verification Failed: ‘Auth’” error happens because your password or account isn’t syncing correctly with their servers. Try logging out of the app, then log back in

I had a similar problem last week, and it ended up being an expired subscription issue, lol. The error made me think it was a connection issue, but I was just out of time. If you’re subscribed through a third-party platform like Google Play or Apple, it can sometimes bug out like that.

Oh yeah, and if you’re running into OpenVPN protocol issues, try switching to NordLynx instead. You can do that under Settings > Protocol. Sometimes OpenVPN servers can glitch out.

You can also change DNS settings to something like Google’s (8.8.8.8 / 8.8.4.4) or Cloudflare’s (1.1.1.1). I’ve seen weird authentication errors clear up after doing that.

Good point! I once had to disable my firewall temporarily to let Nord connect. If your firewall or antivirus updated overnight, it might be blocking the VPN by accident. Might be worth a shot.

Just don’t forget to mention your device type, OS version, and NordVPN app version when you send the logs. Nord’s support is slow if you leave out basic details—they’ll ask a million questions first.

Oh, and if you’re not in a rush, hit them up on live chat before sending the email. They’ll sometimes give real-time troubleshooting steps that might solve it without you having to send logs.
