I’m from the UK but have been using Turkish currency to pay for YouTube Premium and a couple of channel memberships. I just learned last night that YouTube is cracking down on this practice. Am I safe?

While YouTube Premium prices vary by region, the underlying payment system likely converts your currency to the equivalent amount in the platform’s base currency.
It’s hard to say for sure if you’ll be affected. If you’ve been paying for YouTube Premium and channel memberships with Turkish currency without any problems so far, you might be able to keep doing so.
