VPN for educational purposes:

I’m trying to locate a VPN that the school firewall isn’t blocking. My devices now have DPI and a proxy CA certificate installed, however although certain VPNs still function, they are quite sluggish.

I had attempted:

There are a few that don’t work: SurfShark, NortonVPN, ProtonVPN (which doesn’t work at all), 1.1.1.1 (which functions, but is still too sluggish for gaming), and windscribe (which functions on Windows but not on Mac).

tested proxy servers as well, but it didn’t work

There is also a poor phone data signal.

Ask not why I require a VPN at school.

since I live on campus and SKU doesn’t even let gaming on the weekends.

I’m not sure if it’s possible to download Tor, Tunnelbear, or start a VPN.

Then Try downloading Tor.

I only need a quick, unblocked VPN so I can use it to play games; I don’t require Tor.

Bro, that school lockdown sounds tight asf. I’ve been there. Honestly, try ExpressVPN. It’s pricey but runs smooth even on locked-down networks. It gets through most firewalls, and speed’s decent, even for gaming :video_game:. Just don’t stream Netflix all day or you’ll get caught :joy:.

Yooo same struggle, man :weary:. I’ve heard good stuff about Mullvad. It’s like lowkey, and since they focus more on privacy, some schools don’t bother blocking ‘em. Can’t promise it’ll be super fast, but better than nothing if you tryna game without the admin getting in your biz. Just curious tho, what’s your school’s beef with gaming on weekends? :roll_eyes:

If everything’s slow, your connection might be the issue, bro. School WiFi is usually congested as hell :skull:. Have you tried getting a MiFi device or something? I know you said phone data’s bad, but sometimes those things catch a better signal than your phone. Could be worth a shot if you’re desperate :signal_strength:.
