VPN and Internet Issues Megathread

Please share all updates and discussions related to VPN or Internet issues in this thread. Any posts outside of this thread will be removed.

Here’s what I’ve experienced on Android:
Proton VPN: not working
Windscribe VPN: not working
Super VPN: not working
Cloudflare: not working
Turbo VPN: not working
Surprisingly, around 4 or 5 sites are no longer restricted and I could get to them without a VPN. Right now, I’m unsure.

@Jem
Proton is working for me so far

@Jem
Any updates? Is there a VPN that’s working right now?

Is there any VPN that’s currently working on Android?

Windscribe’s free version is working. Use the stealth mode protocol if the normal protocols aren’t working.

Check the Tor browser: https://www.torproject.org/download/

It uses a different protocol than VPNs.

Using a VPN is permissible. There’s nothing that indicates it’s forbidden, unless it’s used to access certain content.

Here’s a short guide.

Free Options:

  1. Windscribe free works with the WireGuard protocol. If that or other protocols don’t work, try the stealth protocol. It should work when others do not.

  2. Psiphon free works well without special protocols.

  3. Proton free also works in stealth mode.

Affordable Paid Options:

  1. All these VPNs have premium versions that are very budget-friendly.

  2. If nothing works in extreme cases, consider getting a static proxy from proxy-cheap.com or iproyal.com for about $2 a month and use it as a VPN on Windows or inside a browser.

  3. Other paid options like NordVPN are available, but I’m not sure about their pricing.

  4. You can create your own VPN using OpenVPN with a droplet from Digital Ocean for $6 a month. Check YouTube for tutorials on how to do this.
