Yo, that’s pretty cool of you to offer! I’ve been looking for a Malaysia exit node for a while now. Tailscale’s been working great for me, so having a 24/7 option would be awesome. I’ll drop you my email soon. :ok_hand:

Oh, sweet! I didn’t know Tailscale could be used for something like this. Does it affect your network speed when a bunch of people connect to your exit node though? I’d be interested in trying it out, but wondering about the performance.

I’ve used Tailscale for my personal stuff, but never really thought about offering an exit node for others. Do you have any bandwidth caps on your connection, or can people just use it as much as they want? Would love to know more before I jump in.

Hey, this sounds interesting, but just curious—does using your exit node have any risks in terms of privacy or security? Like, would you be able to see any of the traffic coming through? I’m cautious with VPNs, especially when it’s community-based. :grimacing:

This is dope! I’ve been using Tailscale for internal networking, but having access to a Malaysian exit node could really help me with region-locked content. I’ll send you my email! Also, kudos for keeping it up 24/7—that’s super generous. :rocket:

Yeah, I was wondering about privacy too. With Tailscale, all the traffic should be end-to-end encrypted, right? So even if you’re providing the exit node, you shouldn’t be able to see any of our data. Correct me if I’m wrong.

As far as I know, Tailscale uses WireGuard for encryption, so the data is secure. But I think the exit node can still see some metadata? Not sure about the full extent though. Definitely something to consider before hopping on someone else’s node.
