Split tunneling

Does split tunneling actually direct traffic I choose to be encrypted and traffic I exclude to de direct connected to my Internet. ? Does anyone use this feature because this would be nice to not have to turn the Vpn on and off as needed.

Yeah, you got it right! Split tunneling lets you choose which apps or websites go through the VPN and which ones use your regular internet connection. It’s super useful if you wanna access local services while still protecting certain traffic. Like, you can stream Netflix locally but have your torrent traffic encrypted through the VPN. :dart::earth_africa:

I use split tunneling all the time on Android—works like a charm! No need to keep turning the VPN on and off. You can set it up so things like banking apps or anything sensitive goes through the VPN, but other stuff, like regular browsing, stays on your normal connection for faster speeds. :racing_car:

For sure! It’s a great feature if you don’t want your whole connection to be routed through the VPN. Just keep in mind, depending on the VPN provider, the split tunneling options can vary. Some VPNs let you exclude certain apps, while others let you choose specific websites to bypass the VPN. :control_knobs:

Yeah, I’ve been using split tunneling with NordVPN, and it’s super handy. You can even exclude certain gaming apps to get better ping while keeping the rest of your traffic secure. It’s like the best of both worlds, especially for Android users. :video_game::closed_lock_with_key:

One thing to remember: split tunneling is awesome for flexibility, but the stuff you choose to bypass the VPN won’t be encrypted. So, if you’re concerned about security, make sure you know what traffic you’re excluding. Otherwise, it works great if you just need the VPN for certain tasks. :rotating_light::zap:
