Question about Invizbox and Proton

I don’t see any mention of InvizBox routers any more on the Proton website. Can we infer from that the the partnership between Proton and InvizBox has ended

Yo, I noticed that too! :eyes: InvizBox used to be all over Proton’s site, but now? Crickets. :cricket: Pretty sure they parted ways. Either the deal ended, or maybe Proton is working on their own hardware solution—that’d be kinda cool. :rocket:

Yeah, I had the same thought. I mean, VPN routers are becoming more common now, so maybe Proton’s trying to roll out their own brand of routers. Or InvizBox just wasn’t cutting it. Either way, I think they’ve moved on.

Hmm, you guys might be onto something, but it could also be a supply issue. Maybe InvizBox couldn’t keep up with demand, or ProtonVPN is just focused on other things. These partnerships come and go all the time. It’s not like Proton would put out a press release about a breakup. :joy:

I got an InvizBox 2 about a year ago, and it’s still working fine with ProtonVPN. No issues at all. I think the router just flies under the radar now, since it’s not exclusive to Proton. Maybe the two companies just decided not to push the partnership anymore. No big drama, probably. :v:

Makes sense, but still weird that Proton didn’t say a word about it. You’d think they’d at least send out a tweet or something, just to clarify. I hate this guessing game with companies.

It’s all about that “we’re too cool for PR” vibe, man. :joy: Seriously, though, maybe they figured no one would care enough to notice? Proton’s audience is more into privacy stuff than hardware, I guess.

Yeah, but InvizBox had a cool niche! It’s annoying when they ghost partnerships like this. Now people gotta dig through forums just to figure out what’s going on.

Tbh, you’re still good if you have an InvizBox. It’s just a VPN-compatible router—as long as you can set up OpenVPN or WireGuard, it’ll work with whatever. I wouldn’t stress too much about the official partnership. Proton’s prob just focused on software over hardware for now. :hammer_and_wrench:

Fair point. But I gotta admit, it did feel kinda cool knowing my router was Proton-approved. :joy: Guess I’ll just pretend the partnership never ended and keep flexing.
