Hello! I recently moved to Linux and have already paid Norton VPN till July of next year; however, Norton does not have a Linux client, and because they utilize the OpenVPN protocol, I intended to set it up that way. Is there a method to obtain the user ID (“device_udid”) and password (“device_password”)?
You can find your device UDID and password in your Norton account settings on the website. Log in to your account and look for the VPN section to retrieve this information.
If you have the Norton mobile app, you can also check there. Sometimes the app provides details that may not be readily visible on the website.
For using OpenVPN, make sure you have the OpenVPN configuration files. If you can’t find them, consider reaching out to Norton support for assistance.
If you’re comfortable with the terminal, you can use commands to check network settings or configurations that might help you connect to the VPN manually.
Keep in mind that while setting up OpenVPN manually can be a bit tricky, there are many online guides specific to using Norton VPN with OpenVPN on Linux.
Also, check community forums; sometimes, users share their experiences or workarounds for similar issues. You might find a solution from someone who has already done it!
