NordVPN software is preventing sites from loading on Windows 10

Hello. I’ve been dealing with this a lot recently, but today is really bad. Whenever the Nordapp is turned on and connected, websites fail to load, as if I do not have an internet connection. I have to turn it off to get online. I’ve tried reconnecting to new servers many times, all in the UK.

Windows 10 using the NordVPN app, UK.

Thanks.

So try other regions other than the uk.

This has happened to me before too! :triumph: It could be an issue with the DNS settings. Try going into your NordVPN settings and changing the DNS to a public one like Google’s (8.8.8.8) or Cloudflare’s (1.1.1.1). That usually helps!

Same here, man. It’s super frustrating! I found that switching from OpenVPN to IKEv2 in the Nord settings made a difference for me. Give it a shot! Sometimes the protocol you’re using can mess with connectivity.

Make sure your Windows firewall or any antivirus isn’t blocking the Nord app. :shield: Sometimes these programs interfere and cause issues like this. Try temporarily disabling them to see if that helps.

You could also try reinstalling NordVPN. Sometimes files get corrupted, and a fresh install can fix things. Don’t forget to back up your settings first if you have specific preferences!
