Are you using torrent or direct download?

Direct downloads are typically safe without a VPN. With torrents, make sure to bind your VPN to your torrent client.

I always make sure to bind my VPN before using torrents.

@Parrish
Lol, that auto-correct got me.

That auto-correct is funny.

Just stream it for free and you won’t get in trouble lol.

Saying a stream is the same as a download is like saying a toy is the same as a real car.

@Keegan
Pirating is still pirating.

Streaming won’t typically get you a virus or an IP warning as easily as torrents can.

Torrents can be risky with potential ISP bans or fees.

Not sure how those connect to pirating, but that seems weird.

@Parrish
Remember, even after finishing, keep sharing for others.

Why do we need to bind? If the VPN is active across the OS, does it really matter? Am I missing something?

Binding it to the torrent means you won’t download if the VPN is off, protecting you from your ISP.

If your VPN client has issues and disconnects, binding stops the download instead of letting it continue without protection.

I learned that the hard way a while back. Getting a warning for trying to play Operation Raccoon City was a shock. I completely deserved that though.

@Aven
I got caught the same way, lol.

Never would I expect a game like that to get me in trouble. They should appreciate someone playing it.

@Aven
I received a notice years ago for downloading a Maroon 5 song. I totally deserved that too.

I’ve switched to Steam rip more than Dodi/Fit because of issues like this. I always bind my VPN, but you never know.
