Logging in to Websites on VPNs

Hi, I’m considering getting a trustworthy VPN, but I’ve never used one before. I’m wondering if it’s safe to log in to websites while using a VPN. Will my cookies, data, traffic, usernames, emails, and passwords be safe?

I’m not sure how VPNs work, so I don’t know if the data could be stored or accessed by hackers through the VPN servers. Sorry if this is a dumb question—I’m just new to VPNs and want to understand how secure they are.

Yep, it’s usually safe to log in to websites with a VPN.
A VPN, or Virtual Private Network, basically sets up a secure, encrypted connection between your device and the internet. So, your ISP and other third parties can’t see what you’re up to online.

If a website notices frequent logins from different IP addresses in a short time, it might temporarily block your account or ask for extra verification.
