Issues Accessing Meta.ai with a VPN

Hi everyone,

I’m reaching out for help because I’m having trouble accessing Meta.ai for my job. I need to review some videos and ask specific questions using this tool, but it seems to only work in the US. I’ve been using Hotspot Shield as my VPN, but I’m still running into problems.

Initially, I got a message saying Meta.ai isn’t available in my country without a VPN. When I activate the VPN, it prompts me to sign in with a Meta social media account, like Instagram or Facebook. However, after signing in with my Instagram, I get a message stating it’s still unavailable in my country. I’m thinking this might be due to my Instagram account being registered from a different country.

To troubleshoot, I kept the VPN on and created a new Instagram account, but that didn’t work either. I even made a new email and used it to set up a fresh Instagram account, but I still couldn’t access Meta.ai. Interestingly, a colleague followed the same steps I did, and their account worked just fine at first. They even shared their account with me, but after a day or two, I encountered the same issue again, and now it says Meta.ai isn’t available in my country.

Does anyone have any ideas on what might be causing this or how I can resolve it? I’d really appreciate your help. Thanks!

Hey, that’s super frustrating! :weary: It sounds like Meta.ai is really strict about where their users are logging in from. Have you tried using a different VPN server in the US? Sometimes, if you’re connecting to a server that’s been flagged, it’ll throw that error at you.

Yeah, for real! Some VPNs are known to get blacklisted by services like Meta. I had the same problem with Netflix before. You might wanna try switching to a server that’s less crowded or maybe even a different VPN altogether. Not all of them can bypass these restrictions. :earth_africa:

You might also wanna check if your VPN has a feature for stealth mode or something similar. Some VPNs have options specifically for bypassing geo-blocks, which might help you connect to Meta.ai without issues. :lock:

Totally! I had this issue with Meta too. You know what worked for me? I used ExpressVPN and connected to a different city in the US. Sometimes, it’s not just about being in the US, but which server you’re using in the US. Give that a shot! :cityscape:

Just a thought, but did you double-check your Instagram privacy settings? Sometimes, if your account has restrictions or is flagged, it can limit what you can access, even with a VPN. You might wanna try to create a brand new Instagram account altogether. :tipping_hand_man:

That’s a good point! It could be that your existing account has some flags on it. Just keep in mind that creating too many accounts can sometimes raise flags with Meta too. They might think you’re spamming or something.
