Since we often get requests for VPN provider recommendations, we’re making this megathread a regular thing every two months (you’ll find the latest one at the top menu of this forum). This is your chance to ask about or recommend your favorite VPN provider.
When sharing your preferred provider, please include a couple of reasons why you like it. Don’t just list common features—explain what made you choose it. Comments that only mention a provider’s name won’t be accepted. No affiliate links, links to review sites, or direct links to VPN provider websites allowed. Also, no shilling.
You might want to look at our comparison table. We update it often, so you may find a provider that fits your needs. There’s also a pinned special deals thread for when you decide to subscribe.
Just a reminder that this megathread will still be monitored by the moderators.

Are there any VPN providers that support OpenVPN DCO yet? It looks like it requires version 2.6 and a kernel module.
If you want to use OpenVPN, they have Access Server if you have your own server, or you can use CloudConnexa if you need a hosted solution. It’s best to go with the official source for better compatibility with DCO, in my opinion.
I have been using Windscribe for gaming to avoid routing issues with my ISP, and it’s been fast on IKEv2, but a bit slow on WireGuard. However, IKEv2 does drop occasionally, which is frustrating.
I appreciate that it’s very affordable; I pay just 3 USD per month for the two server locations I want.
Are there any other VPNs with a similar price that offer a server in Singapore? Most major providers require longer subscriptions for lower rates, and without that, it’s about 15 USD monthly.
@Addison
Is Cloudflare Warp being throttled by your ISP? I don’t see many mainstream providers that offer lower monthly fees. If you’re okay with self-hosting, Gullo has SG servers for $5 a year, and Oracle Cloud’s free tier might work if you want to try your luck (the registration process can be tricky, but once you’re in, it’s fine).
I’ve been using ExpressVPN for a year and it’s been reliable. I like it because it offers consistent speeds and can bypass geo-blocks, which is great for streaming content from different countries.

You should mention, however, that it is one of the more expensive VPN services.
What is the best VPN for internet throttling? I use T-Mobile 5G and think I am being throttled towards the end of my billing cycle. Any recommendations for free or cheap VPNs to avoid throttling?
Hi everyone, I am looking for a VPN in the UK that offers:
Standard connectivity outside the app using OpenVPN or WireGuard configurations (I want to connect it using my FreeBSD router/firewall to NAT my entire local network through it)
A dedicated IP with full port forwarding (not just one port; I want to forward ports 1-65535 TCP/UDP) and ideally no firewall, or one that allows me to use DMZ hosting
A clear no-log policy.
I’ve looked into several offers from various VPN providers, but haven’t found any matching these specs. They usually have multi-port restrictions or need a custom Windows app to use it.
