Apple TV app discussion

Is there any information on when/if the Apple TV app will be released? How do people do it without the app? My router does not enable me to configure VPN at the router level.

The software appears to have completed development, but it is still awaiting approval from the Apple software Store. From an AMA a few weeks ago:

20 days to review an application? What is wrong with Apple?

Perfect! Thank you. I’ll cancel my ExpressVPN membership today!

Not too quickly. It has been in this situation for some years, and there is no public indication of any progress or explanation for why the permission is taking so long.

Yeah, I got a little enthusiastic there. I have contacted CS for additional information. I have 30 days to terminate my Express VPN subscription, so perhaps I’ll receive a better answer before then.

My router does not support modified firmware, regrettably.

You can always purchase a can. You may use several routers on your network to subnet your smart and home devices.

I questioned Proton customer service about it just yesterday. Their response: “The Proton VPN application for Apple TV is on its way.” Keep a look out for our blog for news and updates: The Proton Blog - News from the front lines of privacy and security | Proton.

Of again, I’m not sure how Proton interprets “is on the way”.

Consider using a hardware VPN device like this: GL-MT2500 / Brume 2 - GL.iNet.
