Hey folks!
The VPN crackdown is about to expire on my wife’s and I accounts. I’m curious as to whether a solution has been found or if the situation is essentially over. I won’t pay the full fee to use the app and shut my phone at the same time. Most people, I’m sure, have similar feelings.

Here’s a tip: try using a mule account.
Set up a new account for buying the family plan and choose a region where it’s still working (Ukraine has been good for me). Make this account the owner of the family plan and then invite everyone else to join it.
Just use this account for managing the family plan.
I’m doing this with YouTube Premium and a 2TB Google One plan in Ukraine without any problems.
Why pay for YouTube Premium when there are third-party apps that offer ad-free access and background play?
No major updates on the YT Premium situation yet. The VPN crackdown is still causing issues, and it seems like we’re all stuck for now. A lot of people are holding out like you, but no solid workaround has popped up.
