After I installed ProtonVPN, several websites no longer load

Hello, folks.

I used a VPN once to alter my Steam location.

After that, several websites (streaming websites) no longer load; nevertheless, when I use mobile data, the same websites operate well.

Is there any fix?

This also happens with other VPNs.

How can I fix this? I’m not connected to the VPN, but some websites won’t load and I keep getting an ERR_CONNECTION_TIMED_OUT error.

I’m not sure if this will help, but you might try a few things like turning on airplane mode for a bit, using a different browser for the site, uninstalling the VPN, or restarting your phone. Those are just some ideas I thought of, so I don’t know if they’ll work.

Many of Proton’s servers, as well as those from other VPNs, have been blacklisted by the sites. Try switching servers. One effective method I’ve found is to enable secure core, which routes you through their most secure servers.

Proton has a feature called split tunneling that lets you select specific apps to bypass the VPN and use your regular IP. I suggest using a secondary browser with Proton VPN turned off through split tunneling for those troublesome websites.
